1. Who this covers
This policy explains how AXLEO SYSTEMS LIMITED ("axleo", "we", "us"), registered in England and Wales under company number 17109512, uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at axleosystems.co.uk.
It does not cover the axleo web app or the Showcase app. Those are described in our Privacy Policy. Our use of personal data more generally is also described there.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. "Similar technologies" include your browser's local storage. The law that applies in the UK (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and the UK GDPR) says we must tell you what we store on your device and ask for your consent before we use anything that is not strictly necessary.
3. What we use
Strictly necessary: your cookie choice
We remember whether you clicked Accept or Reject. We save this in your browser's local storage under the name ax-cookie-consent. It holds one word ("granted" or "denied") and stays until you clear your browser data. It is not a cookie and it is not sent to us. It is needed to respect your choice, so it does not need your consent.
Apart from that, our website does not set any other cookies.
Analytics: only if you accept
If you click Accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people use. This helps us improve the site. It sets these cookies:

With these cookies, Google Analytics receives the pages you view, where you came from, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses.
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not use Google Analytics advertising features such as Google signals.
4. Your choices
We do not load Google Analytics, and these cookies are not set, until you click Accept. Reject and Accept are equally easy to choose. Rejecting does not limit what you can do on the website.
You can change your mind at any time. Use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of our pages, or the button below, to open the choice again. If you choose Reject, we switch analytics off and delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
Withdrawing consent stops new data being collected. It does not delete data already collected, which stays in Google Analytics until the retention period below ends.
5. Data and retention
Google acts as our service provider for Google Analytics and processes this data on our behalf, under Google's terms and data processing terms, which we have accepted. Google may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, safeguards required by UK data protection law apply. See section 7 of our Privacy Policy.
We set Google Analytics to keep event data for 14 months. After that it is deleted automatically.
6. Other websites
The "Login" link takes you to the axleo web app at axleo.app. Our links to other websites, such as LinkedIn, take you to sites that have their own cookie policies. We do not control them.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if we add a new tool. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. If we add anything that needs consent, we will ask you again.
